These inevitably come from funeral monuments. A man unaccompanied by a woman is sometimes shown simply drinking, with no food.

Writing

The Cologne museum card is included to show where the items come from. I have included a colour-enhanced version of the writing materials. Museum lighting sometimes flattens the colours.
